I even cringed at times from the sheer morbidity and dark nature of this series. When it's a single panel joke it doesn't seem as dark. Add motion and blood curdling screams and it brings the dark humor to a whole new level!Masonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14317502791624737515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4521412883814597129.post-58661521086639680452014-12-11T06:59:07.184-08:002014-12-11T06:59:07.184-08:00Yeah, it's too bad it didn't catch on. It ...Yeah, it's too bad it didn't catch on. It was like Dillbert, people just seem to like it more in print vs animated I guess.

An animated Calvin and Hobbes would have been sweet! I don't think it had much of a chance ever being animated though, because the creator Bill Watterson was very protective of Calvin & Hobbes. He didn't want it commercialized at all. By the way, if you have Netflix you've gotta watch Dear Mr. Watterson - A Calvin & Hobbes Documentary, it's fantastic!Masonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14317502791624737515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4521412883814597129.post-21928285846491506302014-12-09T15:20:51.286-08:002014-12-09T15:20:51.286-08:00I echo everything Chris ^^ says! I might not have gotten all the jokes at that point, but I still found them hilarious.

I don't know how they could have made it work, but it's a shame an animated Far Side series wasn't a thing. The same goes for Calvin and Hobbes. That would have made a great show.
Stunt Zombiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09389041113668873208noreply@blogger.com
