I only paid a buck for The Homer! Now that's living the American dream. Not one dollar of my money will go in a toy scalper's pocket! Just a few dollars will go to giant toy companies.
This car actually looks great on the streets. The lime-green matches that classic orange pavement.
Frugal Friday will now be a weekly addition to DI Treasures, so check every weekend to see more inexpensive adventures! Now back to the show!
Awesomeness when you can find something sweet like that for a buck!
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah! I never pay a premium and rarely pay retail. I make an exception with How Wheels because they're usually only a buck retail. I'm already excited to see what HW has instore for Halloween.
DeleteCool! Ill have to check my Dollar Tree's to see if they have one.
ReplyDeleteDefintely worth a look, you never know. I've found some pretty cool stuff at the Dollar Tree and on occasion at The Family Dollar. If I find another one I'll keep you in mind. Good luck!
DeleteThere is nothing better as a collector to find a cool piece at a ridiculously low price. They are treasured so much more than the piece you overpaid for. The hunt is what keeps us going. Cool snag.
ReplyDeleteThat's so true Kal! I actually get a sort of rush from the hunt for that amazing deal. Maybe it would be nice to pay more and get a complete collection in one go, but where's the fun in that, right?
DeleteI've only seen this one on shelves the time I bought mine. Great score!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was pretty shocked and then ecstatic! I never in a million years thought I'd be a proud owner of The Homer.
DeleteNot knowing much about the Simpsons I need to ask, why does the backseat have a separate cover from the drivers compartment? It just has me scratching my head.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you ask, it's a kid pod, allowing the parents to enjoy the trip in peace and quiet. I wish I could find a clip, you've gotta see the commercial for The Homer, it's glorious.
