Monday Madness: GPK Goes Funko!
I have never been excited about new Funko figures. I like to buy used, cheaply priced stuff from the DI for goodness sake. Funko figures are new, expensive statues. I like statues, just not expensive ones. Despite my hesitance to purchase any Funko POP! figures I might just give into the madness next year when Garbage Pail Kids merch starts rolling in!
Actually, I doubt I will buy any even then. I din't even buy a single pack of the blind bag GPK Minikins. I will probably ooh and aah at some GPK Funkos on store shelves and snap a few free pics and then move on with my life. Despite that fact, I couldn't help but get excited over the news.
Is anyone else excited for GPK Funko?

Sunday Reflections: National Geographic's Hardcore Hobbies
I recently came across National Geographic's new TV series Hardcore Collectors. It certainly sheds a dark light on collectors, I'm not sure what to think of it. I do agree that any collection can get out of hand and that family comes before collecting. I also believe it is possible to have a large collection and not have it affect your quality of life as long as it is organized and doesn't create a financial strain. I do feel like collectors are largely misunderstood and, though my collection of varied junk isn't huge, people often look at me like I have 2 heads when I try to explain that I collect toys.
Has anyone else watched the series? What do you think?

The Aquabats Tour Utah
So yeah, I noticed that The Aquabats! Super Show! is filmed right here in the good old Beehive State! Here are a few locales I recognized:
Camp Tracy! I spent many a winter camp here as a Boy Scout, as well as several Cub Scout day camps.
Lagoon! Utah's premiere amusement park.
The Aquabats also made an appearance at the Salt Lake Comic Con.

After a 5 years hiatus Homestarrunner presents a 2014 Halloween cartoon!!! So, go watch it, the costumes this year are great!
Enjoy the fall season everyone, rack some leaves, jump in them. Make a scarecrow, paint pumpkins, take walks in the mountains, play Animal Crossing during Harvest Festival, and make hand traced turkey cards.
