Fueled By Gaming Twitch Channel

Hello boys and girls! I just wanted to let all you gaming fans know about my friends video game streaming channel, Fueled By Gaming. The channel is family friendly and good clean fun. I may be joining in on some of the live episodes, so check it out when you get a chance. They usually stream on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

My friend is also part of an indie gaming team working on a game called Crashnauts that I've mentioned before, so be sure to check that out too at Crashnauts.com.

UPDATE

I had a chance to join in on the fun last night. Watch us play Mario 64 as I ramble on about completely unrelated topics and eat Little Debbie Nutty Bars! Watch all the pixelated action HERE

Z-Bots Month: No Cartoon, No Problem

The Z-Bots never had their own cartoon show, but it's okay because they're still "totally cool!"

Personally, I love toy lines that don't have their own cartoon show. Not that I hate cartoons, cuz I love 'em! There's something about cartoonless toys. You can really let your imagination run wild without some "canon" holding you back.

Though there was no toon, there were plenty of commercials. And now, bask in all the 90's glory of Z-Bots commercials!

I really like this fan made commercial!

These were the only commercials I could find with a quick Google search. Are there any more that I am missing? Please tell me and leave a link in the comments below if you know of more awesome commercials!

Stay tuned, this week I will highlight Z-Bots from my collection and I have new additions on their way soon!

May is Z-Bots Month!

I'm just a tad late on this, but I have decided May just feels like Z-Bots month.

Z-Bots were produced by Galoob under the Micro Machines banner and my brother and I couldn't get enough of these little robot guys when we were kids! Some of the old Z-Bots collection is worse for wear, and many of my poor Z-Bots and Voids have been lost. I hope to slowly and frugally build a complete collection and I'm sure it will be a life long pursuit, as some figures are insanely rare.

If you are a Z-Bots fan then be sure to check out the Z-Bots Collectors Facebook Fan Page! Also, be sure to check out the Micro Machines Museum for an exhaustive checklist of all things Z-Bot!

Stay tuned this month for more Z-Bots goodness!

Mason's Top 10 Toys, IN SPACE!!!

Lately I have felt like my collection has gotten a bit out of hand and I was ready to throw in the towel completely and just sell everything! The problem with that is we all know I would just start collecting again and the cycle would repeat. So, Instead of selling out completely I decided to instead refocus my collection on my top 10 favorite toys and sell/trade the rest. 10 toy lines/categories still makes for a ton of toys, but it's a step in the right direction and it's better than collecting everything under the sun! I will adjust my monthly themes to the following toy lines.

I'm sure you will notice that there is a dominant sci-fi theme here, sprinkled with fantasy. Also, as a general rule I try to stick with vintage toys and avoid new retail stuff. If you see anything from my list and would like to trade/sell/give me anything from my list please let me know. (Images coming soon) Thanks!

1. LEGO Classic Space, Aquazone, and Miners.

Custom Space Skulls and my SigFig
LEGO was my first toy love. My earliest childhood toy memory is of my Dad, brother, and me building set 6987 Message-Intercept Base back in '88 when I was 5 years old. I later became a fan of LEGO Classic Castle, Classic Pirates, Aquanauts, and Wild West, but the Classic Space themes hold a special place in my heart. I collect any LEGO that I can customize into a space themed MOC.

2. Bendos by Kid Galaxy, Other World by Arco, Outter Terrestrial Creatures by Marty Toy, Outer Space Men by Colorforms (and the bootlegs), Major Matt Mason by Mattel, and other bendies.

3. The Sword and The Sorcerer, and Manimals by Fleetwood, and rubber monster toys by Imperial Toys

4. Fisher Price Adventure People (space theme only)

6. Bucky O'Hare by Hasbro, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Playmates (space themed figures only)

7.  Micro Machines Z-Bots by Galoob

8. Mighty Max by BlueBird Toys, War Planet by Trendmasters, and other micro play sets

9. Madballs et all

What are your top 10 toy lines? Tell me in the comments below, Happy May Day!
