GPK Funko POP! Leaked!

FINALLY, we get a first look at what Funko has planned for the Garbage Pail Kids!

A quick Google search revealed these glorious photos posted on Rad Retro Stuff, thanks to GeePeeKay on Twitter:

The Mystery Minis are cool, but I think I would rather have Cheap Toys or Minikins. Still, they look pretty sweet, and I suppose the articulation and accessories set it apart.

I am really tempted to break my no new toys diet rule! I wouldn't complain if someone gave me some of these little guys as a gift though. Tee-Vee Stevie is probably my favorite, followed by Dead Ted. The big headedness of GPK characters works really well with the POP! look.

Are there any Funko fans that plan on collecting some of the up and coming GPK figures? Who are your favorites?

UPDATE-Correction

The latest DI Tresures follower Steve Rotters has informed me that Funko will not be releasing POP! figures. The figures pictured are only the smaller Mystery Minis. Hopefully somewhere down the road they will release some of the larger POP! figures, because if there's on thing I hate it is blind box toys, forcing you to buy more toys you don't want! I know some people like the mystery, but I hate it because I'm trying to be a toy hoarder on a shoe string budget here!

    1. LOL! I'm still too scarred to watch that movie! I have seen plenty of reviews and trailers, but I still can't bring myself to sit down and watch it. Can you believe they planned on making a new GPK movie!?

  2. I'm going to HAVE to own a Graffitti Petey/New Wave Dave figure. Even if I have to go trawling eBay for it... Oh man. And the Funko Pop of Adam Bomb is going to have a place of HONOR. I notice these don't have the traditional black-dot Funko Pop eyes to them... I woner if that was one of Topps's conditions in the deal.

    1. Oh yeah, now that you mention it they did avoid the beady black eye treatment! Well, except for the 2 characters wearing glasses, but their mouths are still intact.

I wonder when Funko will release these. Maybe I can get TeeVee Stevie for my Birthday from someone.

Oh, and I wonder if they will have alternate names on the packaging! That would be cool and potentially annoying at the same time!

    2. Scratch that, now that I look more closely even those with glasses have traditional GPK eyes, they're just a bit smaller.

  3. These actually remind me a bit more of the Hasbro Mighty Muggs line, or Monskeys, Mez-its, or Munnies.

    1. They really do look more like other vinyl toys without the signature beady eyes and mouthless face. It's true that that's Funko's signature move, but I don't think I would really like these without the CPK style face that GPK parodies so well.

  4. I swore off Funko some time ago BUT I may have to make exceptions for all of these. Can't wait to see them in person!

    1. I still haven't jumped onto the Funko bandwagon, but one of these might be my first Funko figures. (Now that I think about it I did find some Pocket God Mystery Minis for 50 cents a pop at The DI once, but I gave them to Eric of Toyriffic fame.)

    1. Okay, I thought Funko was creating both the Mystery Minis and POPs. I think I would prefer the Minis, except for the "mystery" part. I hate getting a toy I don't want from blind bags, and since these are in boxes it is impossible to feel for the figure I want, good old TeeVee Stevie!

      Thank you for the info!
