Creepmas 2017 Day 13: The Munsters Scary Little Christmas

This year Santa and my wife got me some fun gifts. Among my gifts was The Munsters Scary Christmas circa 1996.

The Munsters Scary Little Christmas
10 Best Moments
(Spoiler Alert)
1. Herman Munster is upset because he never gets to hear a complete Christmas carol, since the carolers run away in fear as soon as they see him.
2. Herman Munster bellows in fear at the sight of fire.
3. The Munsters' prize winning Christmas decorations
4. The Munsters' Christmas Tree
5. The Marquis De Sade Dungeon Action Playset (Eddie Munster's Christmas present), as seen on page 666 of the Fears and Roebuck Holiday Nightmare Catalogue.
6. Santa is turned into a giant fruit cake, and is almost eaten!
7. A biker gang is used as makeshift reindeer.  One of the bikers is promised a "choo-choo".
8. Santa's elves construct a toy making machine that reads Herman's thoughts in order to create toys.
9. Herman losses his job and tries his hand at a variety of professions, hilarity ensues.
10. As a thank you to the Munsters for saving Christmas, Santa causes it to snow just over the Munsters mansion.

If you like campy Creepmas fun you will love The Munsters Scary Little Chrismas.  Scary Creepmas everyone!

Creepmas 2017 Day 12: Krampus in The Corner

I didn't die, I survived Creepmas.  I just got really busy, but who's gonna know?  I can schedule this to post on 12/12.  Anyways, I wanted to share a fun little Kickstarter project that I found: Krampus in The Corner.  A parody of the annoying Elf on The Shelf, complete with a cute little Krampus and a children's style picture book.  The creators give fair warning, the book is a little to scary and violent for children.

I'm glad this Kickstarter reached its goal.  I was sad to see Warpo Toy's "Don't Cuddle The Krampus" project fall short a few years ago.  Krampus in The Corner is available now to keep tabs on all the naughty children.

Creepmas 2017 Day 8: Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa

I feel this has to be a troll movie, but here are the supposed facts per awful-movies.wikia.com:

Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa is a musical CGI Christmas TV movie from Wolf Tracer Studios Inc. and J Rose Productions and directed by Colin Slater that aired on The WB on November 25, 2002. It was never aired again after that due to it being critically panned. As a result, it was lost for 13 years until it was found and uploaded online.

More insight from awful-movies.wikia.com:

Why It Sucks

  1. Very low animation quality, especially the characters' movements.
  2. Abysmal CGI that could give an early PSone game a run for its money. The character models are blocky and look unfinished with awkward facial expressions and backgrounds that look really ugly.
  3. Lazy lip-synching.
  4. Unoriginal storyline typical of many christmas movie. (I would add a non-sensical storyline, with loads of unbelievable dialog)
  5. Stereotypical characters.
  6. Horrid songs.
  7. Loads of filler.
  8. The main character Grandma speaks in a jumbled up and backwards manner, yet the characters can all understand her. This was an error or glitch that was never noticed.
  9. The film wastes the voice talents of Jodi Benson, Paige O'Hara, Nancy Cartwright, Grey DeLisle and Mark Hamill, as he only appears in two scenes with only eight lines.

Creepmas 2017 Day 7: The Original Nightmare Before Christmas Poem

Before the film was created, Tim wrote the fun little poem.  Inspired by all the Christmas merchandise that would start hogging shelves before Halloween was even over.

Originally, Patrick Stewart was going to narrate for the film adaptation, but it was scrapped for some reason.  A few little tidbits were lost from Patrick Stewart's monologues, although no Mr. Oogie Boogie is to be found in the original poem.  If you're a true Nightmare Before Christmas fan, it is well worth a listen.  I would also highly recommend reading the original book with Tim Burton's original art work.

Lastly, the original soundtrack has this little gem.  Once again, Patrick Stewart provides narration.

Yes, Jack and Sally had Skeleton children, and of course they formed a xylophone band!
